BACKGROUND:
GEODIS Park – home of Nashville SC – is the largest soccer specific stadium in the United States and one of the premier sports and entertainment venues in the country.  Since opening in 2022, GEODIS Park has hosted several concerts, FIFA Club World Cup, U.S. Men’s & Women’s National Teams, Mexico & Korea Men’s National Teams and future LA28 Olympic Soccer Matches. 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Nashville Soccer Club is seeking a Manager of Event & Parking Operations who is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exterior events while focusing on parking logistics and traffic management for events across the venue footprint. This role ensures safe, efficient, and guest-friendly exterior operations while collaborating closely with internal departments, public safety agencies, vendors, and external partners.
 
The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally savvy, calm under pressure, and experienced in managing complex logistics in a live-event environment. This position will work closely with various stakeholders, so communication and organization will be paramount to the success of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a key liaison between guests, clients, internal departments, and third-party vendors on all-event day exterior activities (i.e. – Fan Activation Area, Supporter Tailgating, Parking & Transportation).
  • Plan and oversee end-to-end execution of exterior events, including 5K runs and walking events, ensuring seamless operations and a positive participant experience.
  • Support the Director of Event Operations in the planning and execution of third-party major events.
  • Collaborate with the venue’s parking management company to ensure best of industry standards are applied to parking, traffic, public safety, and crowd control.
  • Maintain a close business relationship and coordinate with NDOT, Metro Nashville Police Department, Nashville Fire Department, CSX on all aspects of GEODIS Park’s parking & transportation operation. 
  • Responsible for obtaining permits needed for sign placement, road, and lane closures.
  • Procure, maintain, and inventory exterior event and parking-related equipment (i.e – Portable Restrooms, Light Towers, Cones, etc.).
  • Assist in preparation, setup, organization and placement of all vehicle directional and exterior pedestrian signs.
  • Schedule and liaise with vendor supplying event day staff shuttles.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for proactive, clear, and consistent communication with all campus stakeholders regarding event schedules, exterior logistics, access plans, and operational impacts to ensure alignment and minimize disruption.
  • Maintain a professional, service-oriented relationship with guests, clients and partners attending events at GEODIS Park.
  • Complete all duties as assigned, on a timely basis, and with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in event management in a stadium, arena, university, convention center or public assembly facility setting.
  • You must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours, including overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays. This is an Event based position. Reliability is strongly measured.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible during events as activities change at a moment’s notice and you must be able to adapt.
  • Be able to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and executive leadership. 
  • Excellent personal organization skills and exceptional planning skills to avoid reactional situation(s).
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and computer skills. Experience in Word and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
