Sitting within the Operations Department, Fan Operations along with Dressing and Signage, Venue Management, Team Services, Competition Management, Broadcast and Media Operations aims to deliver the most engaging, innovative, and accessible World Cup experience for all players, fans, partners, and the community.  


Fans travel from around the globe and may be unfamiliar with the stadiums and cities hosting the event. The Fan Information sub-project provides these visitors with all the information they need for an exceptional FIFA World Cup experience. This involves ensuring comprehensive information is accessible through the FIFA tournament app, FWC.com, FIFA.com, social media platforms, and on-site at the stadiums and host cities. 

THE POSITION
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fan Information, the Fan Information Manager will help serve Fan Operation’s efforts to deliver the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.  
  • The main responsibilities of the Fan Information Manager for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:   
  • Managing the customer contact strategy, implementation, and management for Fan Operations. 
  • Managing the ideation and creation of information cards for venue staff across the 16 stadiums.  
  • Managing the information for the FAQs section for App/Web. 
  • Ensuring all information for the Canadian & US stadiums is present in the online Fan Information Hub and on other relevant channels. 
  • Ensuring the physical and digital fan experience and tournament fan journeys are fully aligned and complimentary. 
  • Capturing, tracking in WeTrack and communicating the project status, issues & risks to the Fan Information Senior Manager. 
  • Coordination of integration meetings with key FIFA 2026 functional areas. 
  • Working closely with the Fan Operations Fan Services and Innovation & Experience teams for the successful planning and delivery of fan operations projects such as the stadiums fan services, Last Mile coordination, and the tournament app. 
  • Contributing to other key projects within the Fan Operations team as directed by the Senior Manager of Fan Information.

YOUR PROFILE
Education & Qualifications 
  • University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education). 
  • Ability to prioritize and handle large workload efficiently at peak times. 
  • Solution oriented with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills. 
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Positive attitude, patience and persistence.International, cross-cultural work experiences preferred. Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit. 
Work Experience 
  • Proven experience in communications, information management, or a similar role.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery. 
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably within international sports events.
  • Working knowledge of fan operations and services at international sports events. 
Languages 
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus. 

 

Technology 

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio & Project), planning software and online collaboration tools.
