NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Manager, Partnership Marketing, a key part of the Partnership Marketing Team at Gotham FC. The Corporate Partnerships department embodies a collaborative approach to partnership management, and the manager should have a thorough understanding of all aspects of Corporate Partnerships operations, including (but not limited to) special event planning, digital campaigns, brand and media management. This position is responsible for managing various aspects of the client’s partnership portfolio such as leading campaign planning, execution and reporting, and the implementation of timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will respond to client requests and is expected to consistently provide excellent client service, as well as represent client needs and goals to ensure partnership objectives are met.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Partnership Marketing, this is a dynamic role that acts as the voice for the brand within the club, cross-collaborating with internal departments such as, marketing, fan experience, sales, communications, game day and soccer operations to bring to life successful partner activations. The manager oversees high-level partnership fulfillment, leading and in some cases supporting the onboarding of new partners, budget management, overall partner brand integration, and identifies revenue driving opportunities through upsells and renewals for portfolio partners.
The ideal candidate has experience as a sports brand marketer, is data driven, a team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, solution oriented with positive disposition, has excellent communication, time management, organizational, and client management skills, and is passionate about their impact within women’s sports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of client’s partnership, including fulfilling contracted assets, overseeing creative approvals, executing activations, and addressing incoming requests.
- Project manage campaign deployment and partnership activation by creating work plans, tracking deliverables, managing timelines and budgets.
- Manage and support the development of marketing strategies and partnership activation plans, including outreach, negotiation, and asset fulfillment, while ensuring alignment with partnership creative guidelines and activation requirements, to deliver on client brand and business objectives.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure alignment, high-quality service, and successful partnership execution.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client communications—proactively anticipating challenges, offering effective solutions, and acting as a subject matter expert on all partnership creative guidelines and other activation guardrails.
- Stay informed on partnership and media trends, cultural shifts, and the broader entertainment landscape to inform strategic recommendations.
- Identify and present strategic opportunities that support client goals and deliver best-in-class results.
- Develop and refine client deliverables such as presentations, POVs, reports, and other strategic materials.
- Consistently provide the brand with new marketing opportunities that will help their business and generate incremental revenue for the club.
- Responsible for developing personal and business relationships with all levels of partner contacts (i.e. day to day, senior management, C level executives, etc.)
- Positively affect partnership renewals by fulfilling all elements within partnership agreements.
- Drive upsell opportunities and partnership renewals of portfolio partners.
- Responsible for accurate brand messaging integration in marketing, communications, in-venue signage, and promotional materials.
- Tracking and reporting media metrics for partner activations across linear, social, and traditional media platforms.
- Work on projects or disciplines within the corporate partnerships department that will have a positive impact on the club and the overall strategy for current and new partners. Disciplines could include (but are not limited to) community relations, content and PR strategy, etc.
- Lead administrative tasks for assigned portfolio. Tasks include (but are not limited to) maintaining detailed partner agreement trackers, preparing status, impact and valuation reports for partner accounts, managing partner specific budgets such as submitting and tracking partner activation expenses, building midseason, title night, and end of season recaps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA in Business Administration or Sports Management a plus.
- 3-6 years experience in professional sports marketing/corporate partnerships at the manager or senior manager level, brand or agency experience is a plus.
- Experience in client management, partnership activation, social and marketing campaign valuation, and marketing campaign creation.

- Being bilingual is a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.).

Location:
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
