THE POSITION The Master Delivery System (MDS) is the application used to regulate and monitor the flow of vehicles accessing FIFA World Cup 2026™ venues. The person in this role will support the MDS Manager, Distribution in overseeing the MDS operations.
Reporting organisationally to the MDS Manager Distribution and the Senior Manager, Distribution, the MDS Operations Specialist will be a key member of the FIFA26 Logistics team, and work in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich key collaborators and other key individuals. This position focuses on maintaining system accuracy, assisting users, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring data consistency across venues. The MDS Operations Specialist serves as a key point of contact for functional areas, suppliers, and venue teams using the system.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the MDS Operations Specialist for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Support the setup, testing, and daily operation of the Master Delivery System (MDS) across all tournament venues.
- Monitor incoming delivery requests and schedules in the MDS, ensuring accurate data entry, approval workflows, and conflict resolution.
- Provide operational support and first-line assistance to MDS users (internal teams, suppliers, and venues).
- Assist with user onboarding, training sessions, and help documentation to ensure consistent use of the system.
- Generate daily and weekly reports on MDS performance, delivery trends, and system usage for review by the MDS Manager and Senior Manager Distribution.
- Collaborate with Venue Logistics and Distribution teams to align MDS data with actual delivery operations and timing.
- Support troubleshooting of technical issues in coordination with the MDS Manager and the system vendor.
- Help develop and maintain standard templates and operating procedures for MDS use.
- Ensure that all delivery activities recorded in the MDS comply with FIFA safety, security, and sustainability guidelines.
- Assist in post-event analysis and lessons learned documentation to support continuous improvement.

Education & Qualifications
- Batchelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc.
Work Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or transport operations (event or sports industry experience preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Strong data management and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel and MS Office tools.
- Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable across all levels of communication and a desire to go the extra mile.
- Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, multi-tasking, and prioritization of tasks and deliverables.
- Willing to work to complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
