Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Head Coach for our Middle School Girls Soccer program. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the field. The Head Coach will be responsible for creating a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of soccer, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate middle school students.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily soccer practices and training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
- Develop and implement a competitive game schedule, including regular season games and tournaments.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth.
- Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and player development.
- Collaborate with assistant coaches and support staff to ensure a cohesive coaching approach.
- Organize and oversee team events, including fundraising activities and community outreach.
- Ensure compliance with all school and league policies, including safety protocols and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance statistics, and equipment inventory.
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes, promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level, with a focus on girls soccer.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young athletes and their families.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their personal and team goals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for practices and games.
- Background check clearance as required by school policies.
