We are looking for an Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and logistics for our first team. Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee all operations and logistics for the first team, including managing travel, coordinating training and matchday logistics, and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day activities. This role offers a chance to grow within the sports industry and directly impact the team's success. Some travel will be required for away games, and the ideal candidate will be someone motivated to learn and develop within the club.
Key Responsibilities:
- First Team Logistics & Facilities Management:
- Coordinate all first team travel, including transportation, lodging, and meals for home and away games.
- Manage scheduling and booking of training facilities and matchday venues for the first team.
- Ensure that all logistical needs for training and matches are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Matchday Operations:
- Oversee matchday logistics, including team arrivals, warm-ups, and post-match activities.
- Collaborate with stadium staff, vendors, and security to ensure smooth operations during matchdays.
- Budget & Financial Coordination:
- Assist with managing the first team’s operational budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and within the set limits.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to provide cost-effective solutions for the team’s operational needs.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with league regulations, including travel and player safety protocols.
- Assist in the management and submission of player contract documentation as required by the league.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Head Coach, Technical Director, and other departments to ensure all operational needs for the first team are met.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all operational updates, needs, and requests.
Required Qualifications:
- A passion for soccer and professional sports.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the sports industry.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for games and events.
- Willingness to travel with the first team for away games.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Some experience in sports operations or event management is a plus but not required.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to take on increasing responsibility as the role develops.
