OVERVIEW
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. LAFC’s ownership group is comprised of local leaders and innovators of industry with intellectual capital, financial prowess, operations expertise, and success in the fields of entertainment, sports, technology, and media. LAFC is invested in the world’s game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.

POSITION SUMMARY 
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with a 3-month term length.  
 
We are looking for an experienced corporate partnership professional to conceptualize, develop, and execute attractive sellable programs, assets, and sponsorship ideas for the club and its corporate partners. Specifically, these programs must align with partner brand objectives, maximize tangible value for partners, and drive partnership revenue goals for the club in conjunction. This is a cross-functional and cross-collaborative role that will require balancing of various different departmental and stakeholder needs and objectives.  
 
Thus, the ideal candidate must have a strong background in sports marketing, sponsorship strategy, and partnership sales with prior demonstrable experience in developing new revenue-generating concepts. This position will have the opportunity to drive LAFC’s commercial growth by developing compelling partnership opportunities that are attractive to brands and seamlessly integrate into the club’s ecosystem. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
  • Create, package, and present marketable sponsorship platforms that maximize revenue opportunities across LAFC and BMO Stadium.  
  • Work cross-functionally and cross-collaboratively with various internal departments and teams to research, conceptualize, and evaluate innovative partnership opportunities that adhere to industry trends, and drive engagement and value, including branded content, experiential marketing, in-stadium activations, and digital/social platforms. 
  • Develop compelling sales narratives, decks, and presentation materials in collaboration with the Business & Data Strategy team that illustrate the benefits and ROI of sponsorship assets to potential brand partners. 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to clean-up and ensure available inventory is accurately documented, optimized, and leveraged effectively for partnership sales. 
  • Work with the Business & Data Strategy team to utilize insights, analytics, and fan data to refine partnership platforms, ensuring they align with audience interests and brand objectives. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field required. 
  • At least 10+ years of experience in sponsorship strategy, sponsorship sales, or sports/entertainment marketing at a U.S. based professional sports team or agency. 
  • Proven success in developing and executing sponsorship platforms and revenue-generating ideas. 
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, KORE preferred) to manage sponsorship assets and deal flow. 
  • Experience working with presentation platforms (Visme preferred) to create and develop sponsorship pitch materials  
  • Experience working with data insight tools (YouGov preferred) utilized in sports & entertainment sponsorships as part of crafting tailored sales narratives  
  • Strong knowledge of digital, social media, and experiential marketing trends. 
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling sales narratives. 
  • Ability to analyze sponsorship performance metrics and provide data-driven insights. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, and fan engagement, with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset. 
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. 
 
COMPENSATION 
At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation . The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation for this role is $2,500 per week.
