THE ROLE:
Are you a motivated, hardworking, and goal-oriented individual looking to launch a successful career in sports sales? RAJ Sports is launching the first Sales Development Program in professional sports that is solely dedicated to supporting multiple women’s sports franchises, creating a pathway for aspiring sports business professionals to launch and advance their professional career in Portland, The Global Epicenter of Women’s Sports.
RAJ Sports is seeking Sales Development Representatives to join our team in June 2026. Team members accepted into the program will report the Director of Sales Development, and will be provided with hands-on training and professional growth within Ticket Sales & Service for the Portland Thorns (NWSL) and Portland Fire (WNBA). As a Sales Development Representative, you will be trained as a full-menu sales professional, gaining valuable experience selling premium seating, season tickets, and group ticket packages. Revenue will be generated through phone outreach, email marketing, in-person presentations, arena/stadium tours, out-of-office appointments, sales events, and engaging fans on game day. You will receive comprehensive sales training, daily coaching, and one-on-one mentorship from our experienced sales management team to help build your career in the sports industry.
WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO:
- Engage in all sales training and development sessions
- Consistently meet or exceed daily and weekly sales activity expectations set by Sales Director
- Proactively prospect and qualify potential sales opportunities
- Drive revenue through the sale of full-season, partial-season and group ticket packages
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
- Help organize and execute sales events for prospective buyers
- Serve as a game-day sales representative, engaging with fans and assisting at sales tables
- Maintain and update customer and prospect records in the CRM system
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sales Director
WHAT IT TAKES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or a related field
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and competitive mindset
- Coachable with a curiosity to develop new skills and ability to handle feedback
- A great teammate with the ability to contribute to building a positive team culture
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Strong relationship skills with the ability to connect with fans to create sales opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional customer service skills, always prioritizing the fan experience
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, handling multiple tasks efficiently
- Adaptable and comfortable handling change in a dynamic sales environment
- Professional demeanor and appearance with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
- Previous customer service or sales experience is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Availability to attend all Thorns and Fire home games and team-related events
