About The Academy of Central Florida

The Academy of Central Florida is a nationally recognized private school and sports academy dedicated to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally. Our soccer program has won back-to-back NACA National Championships in 2024 and 2025 and advanced to the 2026 UPSL Division 1 Quarterfinals.

We are seeking an energetic, responsible, and experienced Soccer Assistant Coach & Team Host to join our program.

Position Overview

This is a combined coaching and residential supervision position. The selected candidate will assist with the daily coaching and operations of the soccer program while also serving as the host for the team house.

Housing is included as part of the position. In exchange, the Team Host will be responsible for supervising student-athletes living in the residence, maintaining structure and accountability within the house, and helping ensure players follow Academy expectations and schedules.

The position also includes responsibility for transporting student-athletes to and from school, training sessions, matches, tournaments, and other Academy activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach with training sessions, game preparation, player development, tactical planning, and team operations.

Support the daily development and management of the soccer program.

Supervise student-athletes residing in the team house and maintain a safe, structured, and professional living environment.

Enforce house rules, curfews, schedules, cleanliness standards, and Academy expectations.

Transport athletes to and from school, practices, matches, tournaments, and team activities.

Help coordinate daily player schedules and team logistics.

Maintain consistent communication with coaching staff and Academy leadership.

Promote discipline, accountability, academic responsibility, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture.

Assist with player recruitment, evaluations, and communication with prospective student-athletes and families.

Assist with program operations, fields, events, camps, showcases, and other Academy activities.

Represent The Academy of Central Florida professionally at all times. Qualifications

Previous soccer coaching experience.

Strong leadership and ability to supervise high school-aged student-athletes.

Responsible, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a residential environment.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to transport student-athletes safely and reliably.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Recruiting experience and an established soccer network are preferred.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

Must be able to pass required background checks.

Compensation & Additional Opportunities

Compensation includes housing for the coach as the Team Host , along with the position’s agreed salary structure.

Additional performance-based earning opportunities are available and are directly tied to revenue generated through the program. These may include player recruitment commissions as well as incentives connected to the successful sales and development of camps, showcases, tournaments, clinics, international events, and other Academy programs . Compensation ranges from $18,000 to $30,000 for a part-time position, based on experience, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities. The position also includes opportunities to earn additional income through player recruitment commissions and participation in revenue-generating programs such as camps, showcases, tournaments, and other Academy events.
