Minnesota United FC (MNUFC) is a professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of soccer in North America. As a club driven by passion and community, we operate under the oversight of the U.S. Soccer Federation, a member of FIFA. Our headquarters are in Golden Valley, MN, with soccer operations based at the MNUFC Training Center in Blaine. On matchdays, we call Allianz Field in St. Paul home—one of the premier soccer-specific stadiums in the country.



 

Position:

The Special Events Associate is part of the Special Events department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

 

Position Summary:

The Special Events Associate is a part-time role that will primarily assist the Special Events team with the execution of non-game day events. This role will contribute to increasing overall efficiency and business growth for revenue-generating events at Allianz Field. This position is based at Allianz Field in St. Paul, MN and reports directly to a Special Events Specialist.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Allianz Field Tour Program, which includes responding and communicating with interested tour groups via email and phone, proactively reaching out to prospective tour groups, scheduling tours, organizing tour agreements and payments, leading full-stadium tours and scheduling Tour Guides. This includes being knowledgeable about the stadium, team and club’s current information and history.
  • Assist Special Events team with various responsibilities on event-day; this includes but is not limited to: taking photos capturing space set-up/ activity, printing signage and assisting Event Lead and clients with set-up/ tear-down.
  • Acquire knowledge of Allianz Field’s booking system to view stadium calendar, book tours and internal MNUFC/ stadium vendor activities, prepare/ send invoices and enter payments.
  • Manage the scheduling, set-up and tear-down of internal MNUFC and stadium vendor activities.
  • Per availability, attend Special Events staff meetings, internal event planning meetings and client calls/ site visits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry products and trends, identifying opportunities for MNUFC and Allianz Field experience.
  • Responsible for focusing on attention to detail, taking initiative, and creating a positive working environment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 1 year of experience in special events or related role is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including in-person and email.
  • Highly detail-oriented and consistently takes initiative to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow timelines.
  • Able to work flexible schedule, nights and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Access to reliable transportation.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Minnesota United FC values the contributions of our team members and is committed to transparency in our compensation practices. The compensation range for this role is $16.50 - $18.50 per hour (non-exempt).
