About the role:
The First Team Administrator, reporting to the Director of Soccer Operations, will be responsible for managing all administrative and logistical needs for Atlanta United FC (AUFC) of Major League Soccer (MLS). The role includes, but is not limited to, (i) the coordination and operational execution of AUFC home and away matches, (ii) the management of annual budgets, daily expenses, supplies, and training ground materials, and (iii) the communication of all team-related functions/events with first team players, coaches, and Club staff. This individual will work closely with AUFC’s overall Club infrastructure, and will possess an exceptional attention to detail, must be organized, collaborative, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate regularly with AUFC players, coaches, and staff on schedules (daily, monthly, yearly), training times, travel itineraries, and upcoming team functions/events
- Facilitate the operation of all AUFC home matches, including but not limited to the following: distribute matchday tickets and parking, support match day staffing, complete matchday rosters, order meals for the team, coordinate match official and visiting team necessities. This particular responsibility will require the candidate to work closely with various staff at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA
- Coordinate and execute all areas of AUFC team travel, including airline reservations, ground transportation, hotel rooms, per diem, meals, meeting spaces, and training sessions
- Facilitate communication between the League Office, AUFC, its players, coaches, and overall Club staff
- Track all expenses using Concur, maintain budgets, and reporting to all relevant accounting stakeholders
- Assist with the registration of players with the League Office
- Assist the Player Engagement Specialist with acquisition of social security numbers, driver’s license and insurance of all new AUFC players, coaches, and staff
- Maintain, manage, distribute, at the direction of the Head Coach of Atlanta United FC, all match/training calendars, and other relevant information
- Assist the Player Engagement Specialist with the moving and relocation of all AUFC players by keeping within CBA guidelines of overall budget
- Assist the Player Engagement Specialist with onboarding of new AUFC players (foreign and domestic) by working with the HR, Payroll and Benefits Departments at the League
- Attend yearly summits for Leagues Cup and MLS to stay up to date on the latest travel policies and procedures
- Maintain/manage relationships with various contacts and vendors that are necessary to be efficient in the position
- Assist, if needed, the Director of Soccer Operations with relevant immigration processes
- Assist the Club in managing crises and reporting emergencies or serious illnesses
- Transport players, if necessary, to any relevant medical appointments related to on the field injuries
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Soccer Operations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a similar role at a professional soccer club or institution
- Experience and knowledge of soccer required
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Must be able to travel during entire MLS Season (March-November)
- Must be able to travel during the offseason (Dec-Feb)
PREFERENCES:
- Fluency in 2nd language strongly preferred, with Spanish language preferred
