What you will do:

We are seeking a Logistics Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a leave within our Supply Chain Management Organization. The temporary role will span over approximately a three month period, preferably starting in early June. The ideal candidate will support our logistics team by assisting with order management, reporting, and some data analysis along with processing Import/Export Documentation.  The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills.  Key objectives will be creating and maintaining direct import orders, preparing reports, and processing Logistics documents with internal/external  partners. This temporary role is critical to maintaining the seamless operation of our department during the period. The position is located at our Headquarters in Stoughton, MA with a hybrid office option and will report to the Director, Logistics.

 IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL:

  • Assist in the creation and end-to-end maintenance of direct import orders.  This includes ensuring all documentation and follow-up is completed in a timely manner.
  • Update tracking documents to ensure information can be accurately communicated with internal partners.
  • Prepare and process Import Documentation daily with external and internal partners.
  • Communicate with cross-functional partners including sales team, logistics team, and vendor partners.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (will consider individual actively pursuing degree in Operations or Supply Chain)
  • 1+ years of experience in operations or planning, ideally in the consumer goods industry
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and Office suite and demonstrates a willingness to learn new software and tools as needed.
  • Experience with planning or supply chain a plus

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with great follow through abilities
  • Advanced computer user skills (Outlook, Word, Excel – VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

 

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Interact regularly and follow up with internal and external parties based on direction of management, presents information for decision making to manager, and the requires ability to independently follow up on pending item and to manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not supervise employees.
