Position Summary
Sacramento Republic FC is seeking a Video Content Intern to support the club’s creative channels with a primary focus on video content creation. This role will be responsible for capturing and editing video for social media, digital platforms, and web, helping bring the club’s story to life through dynamic, engaging content. This position is ideal for a motivated student or emerging creative looking to gain hands-on experience in professional sports while building a strong portfolio of video work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture video content at home matches, training sessions, community events, club activations, and other team related moments
- Edit short form video content for social media, website, email, and other digital platforms
- Create platform appropriate video content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, web, and paid media placements
- Collaborate with the creative team to concept, shoot, and produce branded, organic, and promotional video content
- Assist in developing video storytelling that supports key marketing campaigns, club initiatives, and fan engagement efforts
- Organize and maintain video footage, project files, and content archives
- Support matchday creative operations as needed, including content capture and other duties assigned in support of real time coverage
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro
- Experience editing video for social media and digital platforms
- Ability to shoot with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, with working knowledge of framing, lighting, and audio capture
- Familiarity with mobile and social editing tools
- Strong understanding of social media trends, music selection, pacing, and video storytelling best practices
- Passion for soccer, Sacramento, and sports storytelling
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
