JOB DESCRIPTION:
Department: Lexington Sporting Club & USL Super League
Hours of work: Weekly office responsibilities | Weekdays, evenings, and weekend work in line with training, matchday, tournament/showcase requirements.
Contractual Status: Full-time.
Salary Range: Competitive ā dependent on experience and qualifications.
Working Conditions: Normal coaching and office environment.
Reporting to: Womenās Sporting Director & First Team Head Coach.
JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the head coach in the administration and operation of the Womenās First Team soccer program, consistent with the policies of Lexington Sporting Club. This position specifically supports the mission of Lexington Sporting Club.
To assist, coordinate, and work alongside the Menās First Team Goalkeeper Coach to ensure oversight within the entire youth club ecosystem of goalkeeper coaches is aligned with the LSC methodology, philosophy, and curriculum.
Other duties assigned by LSC leadership.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Goalkeeper Coaching
§ Responsible for implementing and overseeing the Womenās Super League goalkeeping unit.
§ Training sessions:
o Responsible for assisting the head coach in planning and conducting pre-season, in-season, non-traditional and post-season team/individual practices, and competitions.
o Assist the head coach to develop and maintain a positive learning environment to maximize each players learning potential.
o Responsible for all goalkeeping sessions ā planning and conducting for pre-season, in-season, non-traditional, and post-season practices, and games.
o Define the key coaching points and relevant information for the session.
o Provide film analysis clips to the players as a supplemental resource to the training session.
o Establish a positive learning environment and create a competitive environment throughout the season.
o Oversee the technical and tactical corrections pertaining to the goalkeeper position regarding the Lexington Sporting Club methodology.
o Provide feedback for the goalkeepers to check for understanding and analyze the quality of the session.
o Cultivate relationships through one-on-one discussions with goalkeepers.
§ Games:
o Participate in organization of defensive set pieces set up.
o Responsible for warming up goalkeepers.
o Observe the goalkeeper throughout the game to analyze her performance.
o Have a professional behavior on the sideline and be respectful towards the opponent, coaches, referees, etc.
o Talk at halftime with the goalkeeper and give them the ability to evaluate their first half performance.
o Give feedback and analysis to her and recommendation for the second half.
o Use an adapted tone to ensure the execution of recommendation is appropriate.
o Provide feedback to the goalkeeper on the quality of the game.
§ Assist the head coach in all aspects of recruitment of prospective goalkeepers for the club. Specifically, but not limited to, assisting with the evaluation of talent globally, developing contacts for the program, creating any necessary correspondence, managing recruitsā film, evaluating film, assisting during club visits.
§ Assist the head coach to ensure all training sessions are delivered with a compliant approach to Health and Safety.
§ Assist with-
o With data/analytics, loading film, analyzing information pertaining to the goalkeeping unit.
o The head coach to support the Drās and head athletic trainer to ensure that the goalkeepers receive quality care, prevention, and treatment of injuries.
§ Link all individual and team goalkeeping learning objectives to the Lexington Sporting Club philosophy.
§ Effectively communicate with goalkeepers by email, phone, and social media as compliant with league rules.
§ Follow all LSC and Super League rules and standards which pertain to the womenās first team soccer program.
§ Attend all Lexington Sporting Club meetings/zooms/calls to ensure appropriate departmental communication, planning, and updates if needed.
§ Function daily as an integral part of LSC within the sporting department and shares the vision for the future of the club as outlined by the Womenās Sporting Director, The Ownership Group and The Womenās First Team Head Coach.
General
§ Attend all required meetings with ownership and the management and leadership team.
§ Carry out any other reasonable duties that may arise or be assigned by the Womenās First Team Head Coach.

Preferred Qualifications
§ USSF A or B or C / UEFA B or C.
§ Bachelorās degree in a relevant discipline is preferred but not required.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience & Skills
§ Minimum of 5 yearsā goalkeeping coaching background preferred.
§ Experience of playing professional soccer preferred.
§ Prior experience working in at a national level environment, a professional environment, soccer academy, collegiate, or elite youth club preferred.
§ Extensive knowledge and understanding of recruiting globally.
§ Extensive knowledge about youth soccer in the United States.
§ Superior oral and written communication skills.
§ Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.
§ A positive attitude towards professional development and learning.
§ A sound understanding of safeguarding and welfare requirements.
§ Ability to relocate to Lexington, KY.
§ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other operating platforms.
