Position Description

Reporting to the Facilities Manager (FM) of The Sanneh Foundation (TSF), the Facilities Operator (OM) position

is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the Conway

Community Center. This position will work closely with the Administrative and Conway Programming teams to

improve and ensure that the highest levels of quality, efficiency and productivity of operational functions are

achieved.


Role and Responsibilities

Facility Support, Maintenance, and Program Support ~ 80%


  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the Conway Park Community Center (inside and outside grounds) as identified in the Sanneh Foundation Use Agreement with the City of Saint Paul and the Conway Center Manual.
  • Execute and maintain the facility daily cleaning log.
  • Identify and document maintenance requests for repair.
  • Perform safety and security checks at facilities on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly stored in the appropriate spaces at Conway Park.
  • Perform general maintenance on recreation and other community center facilities.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Memorandums concerning facility safety,compliance, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are followed on a daily basis.
  • Communicate and coordinate with contracted janitorial staff to ensure services scope is being met
  • Set up recreational facilities for events and programs.

Food and Nutrition Services


  • The incumbent in this position will occasionally perform the following functions to assist the Food and
  • Support nutritional services programs, as well as various enrichment programming for youth.
  • Document and report program services numbers to the Nutritional Services team.
  • Maintaining all food safety guidelines set forth by the MN Dept. of Health, as well as various
  • contracted food service partners at all times.
  • Delivery and mobile distribution of nutritional resources and supplies to the participants and
  • partners.

Other Duties as Assigned ~ 10%

  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the Sanneh Athletics Dome.

Education Requirements 

  • 2 to 4 years of postsecondary or equivalent
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Results-driven, solution focused and creative.
  • Strong organizational, accuracy and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must be a problem solver who is also willing to take responsibility for facility tasks.
  • Emotional maturity and adaptability to workload demand and requests are required.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if necessary.
  • Ability to utilize complete discretion while handling confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Education Requirements 

  • Civil Rights Completion Certificate from Second Harvest Heartland
  • ServSafe Training Certification from Second Harvest Heartland
  • Experience with Google Suites
  • Experience maintaining work order processes
  • Experience with MSDS Sheets and OSHA Laws
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with HVAC systems
