About The Miami Football Club The Miami Football Club is Miami’s longest-tenured professional soccer club, owned by Silva International Investments owner Riccardo Silva. Ahead of the 2020 season, the club joined the United Soccer League's The Championship, one of the most successful professional soccer leagues in the world, reaching a population of more than 84 million and fueling the growth of the game across North America.
Prior to joining the USL, The Miami FC played in the North American Soccer League (NASL) during its first two years and achieved a historic season in 2017, winning the Spring Season and Fall Season Championships, along with breaking several modern day NASL team and individual records. In 2018, the club began play in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and dominated its competition on its way to three trophies, including the NPSL National Championship. Similar success followed in 2019, defending the NPSL National Championship before joining the inaugural NISA Showcase where they were crowned East Coast Champions in November 2019.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Account Executive, Group Sales is responsible for generating group sales and growing the season ticket membership base for Miami FC. Sales will be generated through prospected leads as well as internal campaigns assigned within the Miami FC database. Additionally, this base salary + commission role will have the flexibility to sell a full menu of ticket products including full-season, suite, and partial ticket packages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for selling through group ticket inventory and assisting in the selling of premium spaces.
- Acquire new business and maximize sales by setting up face to face appointments, completing issued metrics per week, developing and executing sales events, etc.
- Prospect and execute appointments with business leaders in the greater Miami-Dade area.
- Engage with new customers via phone calls, emails, and visiting off-site.
- Participate in networking and development events – including but not limited to clinics and speaker series. Note some events take place after business hours.
- Attend Club sponsored charity events within the local community.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in ticket sales required, with a sports team preferred.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing in both English and Spanish Strongly Preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and execute in a timely manner.
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt in a fast pace work environment with challenging demands and frequent changes.
- Must possess a professional demeanor and has the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external clients.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively – both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office – specifically word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as the event calendar requires.
