Who are we hiring? We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and reliable individuals to join our team as 50/50 Raffle Sellers at CPKC Stadium. As a 50/50 Raffle Seller, you will be responsible for engaging with fans, explaining the raffle rules, and selling raffle tickets throughout the stadium during Kansas City Current home matches and other designated events. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the excitement, interact with passionate fans, and contribute to a great cause.
What will you do?
- Actively engage with fans throughout the stadium concourse, seating areas, and designated selling locations to promote and sell 50/50 raffle tickets.
- Clearly and accurately explain the 50/50 raffle concept, rules, and the charitable beneficiary to potential participants.
- Process cash and cashless transactions for raffle ticket sales using provided equipment (e.g., handheld POS devices).
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and ticket numbers.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times, representing CPKC Stadium and the Kansas City Current in a positive light.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth and successful raffle operation.
- Assist with the distribution of winning information or direct winners to the appropriate location.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Event Operations Manager or Community Relations Coordinator.
What do you need to succeed?
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to enthusiastically engage with a diverse range of people.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate stairs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the Kansas City Current match schedule and other stadium events.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Passion for soccer and/or community involvement is a plus.
Special requirements of the Job:
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 4-6 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds (e.g., raffle equipment, cash box).
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including varying temperatures and weather elements.
