About the Role
Sacramento Republic FC is seeking a creative, strategic, and soccer-passionate Social Media Manager to lead the club’s day-to-day digital voice across all platforms. From matchday storytelling to viral TikToks, this role is responsible for engaging fans, building community, and growing the Republic FC brand across social channels. You’ll work on-site and alongside our marketing, creative, and content teams to bring the Indomitable Club to life online.
Key Responsibilities
● Content Planning & Strategy
Develop and execute a multi-platform content calendar aligned with club campaigns, key dates, and community moments. Adapt brand voice and tone to each platform while maintaining consistency.
● Content Creation
Create photo, video, and written content for Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, and YouTube. Capture behind-the-scenes moments, player features, and game action. Prioritize vertical video and short-form storytelling for TikTok and Reels.
● Live Coverage
Own the club’s live presence on social during home and away matches. Post score updates, game highlights, celebrations, and fan moments in real time.
● Fan Engagement
Interact with fans daily through comments, DMs, reposts, and community moments. Encourage user-generated content and foster an authentic, fun, and welcoming digital environment.
● Analytics & Reporting
Track KPIs across all platforms, including engagement, growth, reach, and performance by content type. Share monthly reports and use insights to evolve and optimize strategy.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with marketing, ticketing, creative, partnerships, and community teams to align messaging and support larger initiatives. Assist with branded content and sponsor activations.
● Trend Monitoring
Stay on top of memes, viral formats, emerging platforms, and digital best practices. Proactively pitch new ideas that keep Republic FC ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
● 2–4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, team, or media company — sports or entertainment preferred
● Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms
● Proficiency in mobile-first content creation — especially short-form video
● Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere) or Canva for basic editing
● Excellent writing and storytelling skills
● Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, live-event environment
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and match days
● Passion for soccer, fan culture, and Sacramento
